Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Financial Planning and Analysis team are responsible for producing management information to support organisational forecasting and capital reporting. The team are accountable for the development of the long-term financial plans with annual operating and capital budgets, using financial modelling to forecast operating and profitability performance to set annual targets.
Your Tasks:
Reporting to the Finance Planning & Reporting Team Lead the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain and enhance the Group’s Anaplan model for Financial Planning, including:
o Reference data management
o Development of additional functionality as required
- Support monthly and quarterly updates to Management and Board reporting presentations.
- Engage and build relationships with stakeholders across the Group who are involved in the Business Planning process to support the smooth running of the process including optimal data capturing and data flow.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years’ experience as a FP&A Analyst within the P&C (re)insurance industry and/or
- Experience building, maintaining, and enhancing P&C insurance FP&A models in Anaplan/Cognos TM1.
Your skills:
- Strong understanding of insurance financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement construction.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and benchmarking.
- Proficient user of financial modelling software, preferably Anaplan / Cognos TM1, including building and maintaining calculation modules
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced in Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
