Forecasting Specialist for SABMiller Europe

We are searching for a new colleague in our European Demand Planning Team. Forecasting Specialist will be responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the standard European solution for forecasting methodologies and supporting tools. He/she will provide methodological and technical support to local Demand Planning Managers, suggesting ways in which the quality of demand plans can be improved and supporting on the implementation of improvement opportunities.
The Forecasting Specialist will work closely with Global Supply Planning teams to ensure that ongoing global methodology and system requirements cover European needs.
The workplace would be in Prague or Pilsen.

• Develop and continuously refine and improve the standard European forecasting methodology that will support the achievement of accuracy level objectives and that will cover forecasting approach /Sales In vs Sales Out/, appropriate statistical algorithm for baseline and activities impact forecasting, appropriate algorithm for NPDs forecasting, required granularity level for statistical forecasting, appropriate algorithm for numbers aggregation and disaggregation to feed both Commercial and Suppy Chain needs.
• Design and build the Interim European DP System that will enable implementation of the standard European forecasting methodology.
• Ensure implementation of the European interim Demand Planning System in markets. Provide maintenance till the moment the Global Demand Planning (DP) System is ready.
• Work closely with Global Template (SAP) and Global Supply Planning teams to shape on-going global DP system requirements and solution for methodology to ensure that European needs are taken into account
• Work closely with SC Planning and GT (SAP) teams to ensure that potential changes of Demand Planning methodology and tools within on-going European GT (SAP) roll-out are aligned with European DP model, properly considered, agreed, communicated and implemented across Europe.
• Develop, implement and maintain DP KPIs reporting system
• Develop, implement and maintain European DP database
• Provide guidance and expertise to local Demand Planning Managers on methodologies and supporting tools, suggesting ways in which the quality of demand plans can be improved.
• Ensure and support implementation of improvement opportunities.

• Master”s degree: mathematics, statistics, IT, engineering, business, logistics.
• Previous experience in beer industry or similar FMCG companies in the area of Demand Forecasting or Supply Chain Planning is a must.
• Expertise in numerical methods and statistics ( including multivariate statistical methods and promotional impact modelling)
• Advanced knowledge of statistical packages or demand planning software
• Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with ability to function as part of the team
• High resilience and persistence to deliver sustainable results
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
