Our brewing heritage in Slovakia started in 1964, when the first beer was produced at the Topvar brewery in Topoľčany and the Šariš brewery in Veľký Šariš. Since 2007, we have produced our beers at the Šariš Brewery, continuously investing in high quality production processes and maintaining our original beer recipes.

Informed by deep local market insights, we invest in building and nurturing the local beer brands Šariš, Smädný mních and Topvar, which have earned the long-term support and affection of our customers and consumers. Being a part of the SABMiller group, our local approach to brand management does not preclude a global approach to generating the efficiencies necessary to invest in for growth and a local competitive advantage. We routinely test, update and reapply global standards and best practice across a range of disciplines, from technical standards and distribution, to marketing, sales, finance and people management.

We carry out our business with respect to sustainability and with a strong focus on the local communities. In 2014, we introduced a global program on the sustainable development entitled Prosper. We provide local communities with support within our grant program Šariš ľuďom, and we also play an important role by addressing responsible business practices as a member of the Business Leaders Forum and important industry organizations.

Key Propose Statement

Pivovary Topvar a.s. is looking for an experienced and talented candidate for a Senior Brand Manager position responsible for the Saris brand.
Saris is one of the biggest beer-brands within Slovakia and the most popular local beer brand with a very strong position especially in the Eastern Slovakia region.
The brand is well-known thanks to its positioning as well as due to a strong marketing support in media and other BTL activities.
Its large portfolio and high-quality products have been awarded by many quality awards in Slovakia (Zlata pivna korunka) and abroad (Monde Selection, Australian Beer Award).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for local development and implementation of brand communication in media and other communication channels (ATL, BTL, digital, PR, sponsorships, etc.)
  • Development of annual brand plans according to portfolio strategy and strategy of our company, responsibility for its implementation
  • Preparation of brand communication in cooperation with Media Agency and Media Manager
  • Management and supervision of suppliers in the area of sponsorship and events
  • Management of brand budget and its effective use to reach brand and sales goals
  • Development of long term strategy and positioning of the brand Saris together with the Marketing Manager
  • Management of cross-functional projects, relationships and processes (Trade Marketing , Sales, Consumer Insight), involvement in various projects across the whole organisation

Requirements:

  • University education (Master degree)
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing + solid experience in marketing ( media, digital, sponsorship, advertising, insight) preferably in a reputable FMCG company
  • Previous management experience (leadership of a small team) is of advantage
  • Experience with brand communication development on local level
  • Strategic management skills
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, pro-active and self-driven personality
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Driving license B
