Job description, responsibilities and duties
Design, develop, and validate models for quality control of solar, meteorological, and PV production data
Design, develop, and validate models for detection of trends and anomalies in environmental and PV production data from various sources worldwide
Focus on scientific and AI methods for historical time series, real time data monitoring, processing, data storage, and forecasting
Test and implement developed solutions into real-time cloud & on-prem delivery infrastructure
Review the statistical and machine learning approaches in the domain of environmental and energy data and evaluate their suitability for our use cases
Cooperate with teams on improving of data infrastructure, methods, and processes
Contribute to customer-focus projects, write scientific papers, technical documentation, and expert reports
Participate and present at scientific events, conferences, technical workshops, customer visits, and webinars

Candidates with education suit the position
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)
Language skills
Personality requirements and skills
University degree from technical discipline or science (physics, mathematics, geography, meteorology, etc.)
Proficiency in Python and standard data analysis packages e.g., pandas, numpy, matplotlib, scikit-learn
Experience with statistical data analysis and solid understanding of machine learning
Experience with shell, CI/CD, git, and (No)SQL databases is a plus
Capability to provide end-to-end solutions
Sense for detail, generalisation, and finding the spots where the models could break
Preference to implement simple well-thought clever solutions rather than complex and complicated machineries
Understanding the position of Solargis on the market and actively contributing to maintaining its unique position
Fluent communication in English
